Fieldtrips, school and fun

Kiddos hard at work... hmmm, I'm noticing a trend about how Little Guy spends his afternoons in the schoolroom!

A couple of weeks ago we had a last minute trip to Kansas City to visit Science City before the Dinosaur exhibit left.

Then last Friday we got to visit Lawrence Virtual School in person for the first time for an enrichment afternoon. In case it's not apparent, Sam decided that the best use of his toothpicks and mini-marshmallows was creating a pile of teeny tiny dumbbells ("So I can exercise my muscles!").

Then yesterday, while the boys were off with Grammy and Grampy for a field trip to the Kansas Historical Society, Miss G and I headed to Kansas City again for a day celebrating the arts. We went first to the Lyric Theatre with LVS for a Kinderkonzert by the KC Symphony. Then we headed to the Nelson Adkins Museum for lunch and a look at the Ancient Egyptian and Greek art.

All of that culture tuckered her out though, and it turned out she was coming down with something, so we've been curled up in bed or on the couch almost ever since.

Big Guy on the bike is CRAZY! He looks like the daredevils in the circus. I'll bet he had a blast riding across that cable.

Are you homeschooling your kids now? From this post, it sounds like you might be...
